AI for Life: Dr. Yunyu Xiao on Revolutionizing Suicide Prevention at UTokyo

Dr. Yunyu Xiao was invited by Drs. Daisuke Nishi and Hiroki Asaoka to present to students and faculty at the The University of Tokyo Department of Mental Health.

Dr. Xiao is conducting critical research on youth mental health and suicide prevention. She shared her findings on how artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data—from electronic health records to social media patterns—can revolutionize suicide prevention by identifying high-risk populations, predicting suicide risk trajectories, and informing targeted policy interventions.

We look forward to sharing more of X_PLORE Lab’s research in the future!
